Welcome to the workshop-page of Stormworks Extra - Sawyer Space Center.

This mod adds Launch Pads and a huge Vehicle Assembly Building on the north of Sawyer Island (the Mainland).

This mod is designed to be used with the Stormworks Extra - Space Center Addon, but it can be used without it. (not recommended) Please note that some features will not work without the add-on.

This Mod is Compatible with Yagatown.

Vehicle Assembly Building:

The Vehicle Assembly Building, also known as the VAB, is a new building added by this mod, allowing you to construct huge rockets and transport them to the launch pads. It features two massive doors on each side, large enough for a 1:1 scale Saturn V rocket to pass through.

On the side of the building, you can construct your own small mission control facility to manage your space missions. The VAB is based off of the real Vehicle Assembly Building at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. However, it is not an exact replica. For the overall design and modeling, we also took inspiration from Kerbal Space Program. It is on the same tile as the O'Neill Airbase. The VAB + O'Neill Airbase costs 150,000.

Launch Complex 39:

The Launch Complex 39, which is based off of the real Launch Complex 39 at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, consists of two identical yet separate launch pads: LC-39A and LC-39B.
Including Stormworks Extra: Better Space, these are the largest launch pads available on the entire map. Please note that the Launch Complex must be purchased separately from the VAB. The total cost of the launch complex is 90,000.

The VAB is connected to LC-39A and LC-39B via train tracks. To transport a vehicle from the VAB to the launch pads, simply equip it with train wheels and use the rail system. If you want to travel to LC-39B instead of LC-39A, use the train switch included in the Addon.

Please note that there is a known issue where some vehicles are unable to reach LC-39B. While we are aware of this bug, we currently do not know how to fix it. If you have any ideas or solutions, feel free to let us know on the DeltaV Modding Discord or by leaving a comment. Any help is greatly appreciated.
